appleAccording to a new rumor, Apple is planning to launch two latest devices with Verizon.  In September 2008, it was first reported that Verizon and Apple were having discussion about the iPhone. BusinessWeek have leaked details, according to it, a person said,

One device is a smaller, less expensive calling device described by a person who has seen it as an “iPhone lite.” The other is a media pad that would let users listen to music, view photos, and watch high-definition videos, the person says. It would place calls over a Wi-Fi connection. One of these devices may be introduced as early as this summer.

Lowell McAdam, the CEO of Verizon Wireless confirms that Verzion had been in discussion with Apple. But he doesn’t reveal anything details.

Rumors have spread that the iPhone Lite will less small and less thin than the present iPhone 3G. It also would be less pricey than iPhone 3G, and be intended mainly for calls rather than filled the smart-modern phone functionality. Meanwhile, an early guess was that the company intended to a touch-screen Netbook, but at present, it looks as it could be planned for the Media Pad. And possibly the new talk of a 5 MP camera could add to the same device.

Apple Switches on iTunes Genius for Video

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Apple Software

When the iTune 8.0 was first released, Genius is the name given to Apple’s proprietary recommendation engine that uses collaborative filtering and iTunes’ built-in rating system to generate music recommendations for iTunes customers based on their existing music catalog. Let’s make it simpler, the technology that lets iTunes Store customers select any song from their library and then click the Genius button to create a playlist of similar-sounding songs from their library. A Genius sidebar also appears on the right-hand side of the iTunes window and recommends music from the iTunes Store that customers don’t already have, based on the songs they select.

Now the latest news is, Apple recently expands this feature to video files while releasing of iTunes 8.1 few weeks ago. On the other hand, readers are reporting that Genius iTunes Store recommendations for Movies and TV Shows have suddenly started to show up alongside their iTunes libraries, a claim AppleInsider has verified.
