Softbank Mobile Corp. of Japan announces that it will efficiently cut the price of iPhone 3G to as low as 0 yen as part of its scheme of discounted service rates and special sales campaigns as a counter to alleged poor sales from now till the end of May. It is really great news for the Japanese; the price of an iPhone can’t get much lower than this. Though, iPhone is not so much popular in there.
Now, the demand of iPhone in Japan and elsewhere has tailed off and it is being seen as just too costly. The situation hasn’t been helped by the current financial condition in Japan. The hefty and comparatively large iPhone is no longer selling in large amount like previous. Therefore, the 8GB model is to be given away for free to clients signing up to a two-year contract.
New subscribers who sign up for a two-year agreement will get an 8-gigabyte iPhone 3G for free as an alternative of the usual Y23, 040 via discounted service rates. And the 16GB model can be gotten for Y11, 520.
