Television for iPhone

Posted by: admin  /  Category: iPhone

iphoneYou can now watch television with your iPhone using Mayamkama.com’s television application, in additional you can watch different news program on more then 30 channels, including NBC, CNN, the Associated Press and Cnet, besides several other foreign news services. However, at the side of the news service you can also watch videos from MTV, Onion, VH1 and College Humor TV.

The first thing of this television application is, it’s not “live”. This application requires Wi-Fi connection as it does not function on 3G network. This might sound bit limited because another television application OrbLive runs live on both Wi-Fi and 3G network. But the major problem with the OrbLive is it mainly depends on the network speed. That means, if the network is weak then you will have slow speed on your television and if you are surround with good network coverage then you will have the high speed access.

The interface of the application is very easy. You can scroll up and down the list of the channels, simply tap your desired channel and the list of the programs will appear. Again tap the program you desire and the application will automatically launch the video.

This application does not host any videos but it will transmit you to other sites where the videos are available. Their also a context named Video-on-Demand. In this context you will be provided with the list of the programs that recently have been uploaded. However, the main problem of this application is, some channel works better but some channel works really bad.
